SPARKS Tribute Triumph

The 4th annual Sparks Tribute Gala proved another great success, raising £80,000.

Held at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, in the presence Sparks Royal patron, HRH Princess Michael of Kent, the evening honoured outstanding achievements in medical research and fundraising efforts for Sparks by individual and corporate supporters.

Hosted by BBC Breakfast’s Chris Hollins and leading ESPN sports presenter Kelly Cates

Roger Huntingford of Orion Group, presented the award for the "Outstanding Fundraising Team" to husband and wife, Ian and Alex Gear, who first became involved with Sparks following the tragic death of their daughter Holly as a result of oxygen deprivation at birth. In a happy postscript to the Tribute Gala, Alex gave birth to healthy twins 4 days after the event!

February 2010 - Roger Huntingford selected as SPARKS CHAMPION

In recognition of his support and special efforts that have made a positive contribution to the SPARKS mission, to help children to be born healthy and grow up healthy.

SPARKS presented Roger Huntingford and Orion Group with an award for their support and sponsorship of the Rick Wakeman Celebrity Golf Classic over the past 14 years helping to raise in excess of £500,000 for the Charity.

Orion Group are the main sponsors of the Celebrity Motor Sports Day in aid of SPARKS, hosted by Tiff Needell (TV Presenter and Racing Driver) - to be attended by celebrities from motor racing, television and the music world.
