Background:
Greenhills purchased the office block property in 2000 with the aim to upgrade the property and rent it on a long term lease. McFarlane Latter Architects designed the new entry lobby and appointed Orion Group to carry out the construction work.
Scope of Works
Orion Group was awarded the building contract to construct the new two storey entrance lobby. The work was to remove the existing front walls of stone and glass. Construct a new reinforced foundation and slab. Install a new exposed structural steel frame. Install a new metal composite roof and clad the external walls with structural glass fitted on stainless steel spiders.
External works consisted of relaying brick paving to match existing and to construct two flower beds each side with retaining walls. Internally, Orion Group fitted out the new reception area, staircases and lobby.
